I also get somewhat miffed when I read or hear people speak about how much he spent...so what? If he spent every last dime so? He earned it, it was his blood, sweat and tears, and ultimately his life, that he gave to his art, to his fans and yes to those cloesest to him...so if he wanted to stand on the wall of Graceland and toss his money out, again I say so what? He didn't need to leave anything for anyone in my opinion and maybe if he hadn't there wouldnt be all this division and bs w/those close to him...JMO Also I once heard Paul McCartney say that he wasn't going to leave anything to his kids because he wanted them to know what it was to work for something...can't say I disagree w/that.

Thanks TLC I've always believed that and it just get's me every time I hear Hovey or someone go off about Elvis' spending. They are just angry that not more was left for them so that they didn't have to work and earn it like he did.
GirlHappy...he was depressed SOMETIMES but by all accts. his friends say he wasn't that depressed as it's been made out and again I say this is a disgusting topic and nobody AND I MEAN NOBODY know's if this is true, I for one, like someone else said, don't announce when I'm going to go bathe/shower nor do my friends or family follow me into the bathroom to see what I'm doing, so how these guys could've made these claims is beyond me.
Lets please drop this topic and give Elvis the one thing he always wanted and deserved...his dignity.

Yeah who cares what Elvis did with his money he earned it, he busted his *** to get to where he was. The only thing I say is that I cant believe he let the Col. get away with that.

I know right SeeSeeRider...I just think that Elvis was generous to a fault where Col. was concerned and I truly believe that he felt obligated to him, and I do also believe that he was an extremely loyal man and that is why he agreed to that crazy contract w/the Col.., that and nobody was around to tell him or advise him of better.

Elvis was very ill during his last years. And, incredibly, he continued to truly care for his fans. He was definitely a wonderful person.

There is no area which we cannot discuss within Elvis' life as long as it is done with respect, the problem I have is that this subject matter is something which denigrates a man who doesn't deserve this kind of speculation even if it is true.I will not close this thread but would hope that it will soon come to a natural close??..
