The one I know of was his concert in Hawaii where he wore his gold lame suit.

Hi! I'm new to the world of Elvis and just had a quick question I was hoping somebody could answer for me:
I know he did 3 shows in the early to mid- 60's, and I was just wondering if anyone knew what he wore on stage. Was it more like the suits and stuff he wore in the 50s or closer to what would become the jumpsuits of the 70's?
Thanks!!

Jacket only for this show.

Maybe the pants were too small for him by March of '61?
As for his two other shows in Memphis in February, he wore black pants with tux-style jackets.

Thank you for the replies!
Yeah, maybe.
He hated that Nudie suit, but probably felt bad that it cost so much and Nudie went to so much effort. Despite Elvis penchant for flash, I think the gold lame suit was way over the top, especially for the fifties. But I think the jacket with black pants looks okay ...
The suit is on display now at Graceland, and in real life, it is rather tacky.

You're right Getlo, he did only wear the jacket at the concert in Hawaii - with black pants.
I've also read that he hated that suit.

I read somewhere that the cause of him not wearing the golden trousers with the golden suit was simply because the destroyed the pants on stage; sliding (or just putting his knees on the stage) on stage, that cause some golden flakes to 'rip' off the costume ...but whether he did like the custome all toghether I've never read about.
