yes. I'm not sure why....but yes.....I so want to hear his life story from HIM and nobody else. Good thread Lea.
Lately I have noticed that there are so many different viewpoints of the stuff that has been put out there about Elvis. And so many of us are almost immovable in our opinions concerning things pertaining to Elvis, or the people who were around him.
Let's just suppose for a moment that something were to appear, maybe a diary or journal or something similiar, that had been kept by Elvis. And in this "journal", per say, was all kinds of information on the people around him, details of his relationships, and answers to all of the "what if's" and "why's" that so many people have pondered for so long. Now here is my question:
If Elvis' story or view of something/someone were to differ greatly from the view or image that you have concieved...would it sway your opinion just because you were hearing it straight from Elvis?
Daddy, I miss you more every day. You will always be my hero..
yes. I'm not sure why....but yes.....I so want to hear his life story from HIM and nobody else. Good thread Lea.
good question! Yes it would change my opinion because everybody can lie and say stuff about Elvis that isnt true but only he can tell you the truth about what went on.

Absolutely as I think Elvis was a very truthful person and I would tend to believe his words.

It would be interesting to hear Elvis' point of view. Whether I believed it or not, well, I would want to, but I'd have rather have heard HIS point of veiw BEFORE he died and maybe a lot of these B.S. books would have never come to be.
Whether Elvis or whoever, I've come to learn that two people can see the same picture and have two different opinions about it. Certain things in life are cut and dried, though and when it comes to anything about Elvis, it just gets me crazy when I hear two different versions of the same thing. I've read Tom Parker had a terrible gambling problem, then read recently that no he didn't. I've heard different stories about why Elvis didn't make the movie A Star Is Born. I'm pretty much to the point where I don't even care anymore, if I can't seem to get the truth, whatever THAT is in Elvis' world, all I can do is choose to believe what I want to believe.
Good question!
If it came from Elvis I definitely would believe it...no question about it!!
Let me add, if it was regarding something like did he really love burnt bacon.. or.. his personal feelings about someone (like could he really tolerate Joe or someone else who was in his life) then that is something different. I often wish he would've written an autobiography to help all of us better understand his life.
That he tells it wouldn?t be a guaranty that what he says is the whole truth. After all he lied more than once in relation of his medication abuse and his many lovers along his life and while being married.
Anyway, he wouldn?t have to explain anything about his private life and I don?t think that many of those who have written books on him would have done it if he was alive and could defend himself.
