Yeah, you sure did...
The first part belonged to Douglas...
Or to that former Enterprise captain![]()

Captain James T. Kirk! That's him... or was it James T. Kurt? :?
I think I had 'cling-on' trouble there.![]()
I've not yet seen 3000 Miles To Graceland. Would you recommend it? I'm not too keen on impersonators, so I think I've been avoiding it. Is it worth watching?
And do they use original Elvis songs? If so, it's definitely worth watching for the soundtrack.

Interestingly, critic Dave Marsh, a big Elvis fan, picks Elvis' performance in "World's Fair" as the worst performance by a rock star on film. I really don't understand that. Elvis isn't what he is in "Flaming Star", "Follow That Dream" or "King Creole" but, then he's never less than professional. And in the Russell scenes, he's quite funny. I wonder what's here that inspired Marsh's bile. In the Elvis canon, something like "Kissin' Cousins" is far more offensive and something like "Paradise Hawaiian Style" or "Clambake" are more throwaways.
Hey Scatter!
3000 Miles To Graceland sure is one to watch, you know!
It's not about Elvis impersonators at all, really. Those guys (Russell and Costner) dress up as Elvis just to get a chance to rub a casino!
Actually it's a real action/thriller type thing. It has a lot of Elvis related stuff in it. And yeah, it does have Elvis originals in it! Like Such A Night for instance!
Great movie!

I've seen it in my local DVD rental shop and actually picked it up and then thought 'no'. It sounds very good though. I think I got the wrong impression of it. Perhaps I was a little harsh deciding not to rent it.
It sounds great if they have used the Elvis tracks as part of the soundtrack. I'll have to try and rent it this weekend.

I enjoyed this movie also. Great action scenes. I love at the end of the movie when they play "My Way" when Kevin Costner...(sorry I can't give it away, lol).
Lisa
BTW, the impersonator singing "Such A Night" during the robbery scene is one of the better that I've seen. He's fit, nice looking, and actually sounds like Elvis (if that is him singing).
If never I met you
I'd never have seen you cry
If not for our first "Hello"
We'd never have to say goodbye...
Hey thank you Lisa for not giving the ending away!I enjoyed this movie also. Great action scenes. I love at the end of the movie when they play "My Way" when Kevin Costner...(sorry I can't give it away, lol).
Lisa :wink:That would have spoiled my enjoyment!
I'll definitely have to see the film. It sounds interesting.

I'd agree with everything thats been said so far about 3000 miles to Graceland.
I must admit that i didn't fancy it to start with as it did look pretty corny. I usually hate anything that involves Elvis Impersonators and the like. But this film is great. kevin Costner is superb...boy he plays one mean dude 8)
Cracking movie![]()

The answer is a simple one: it's all SUBJECTIVE.Interestingly, critic Dave Marsh, a big Elvis fan, picks Elvis' performance in "World's Fair" as the worst performance by a rock star on film. I really don't understand that.
I wonder what's here that inspired Marsh's bile.
I like all three, ..... quite a bit.In the Elvis canon, something like "Kissin' Cousins" is far more offensive and something like "Paradise Hawaiian Style" or "Clambake" are more throwaways.
Like I said, SUBJECTIVE.
