If they do remake this, well I certainly hope it's better than that STUPID beach movie with Kelly Clarkson & Gaurini. UGGGHHH! Blue Hawaii is one of my all-time favorite Elvis movies - I don't know if I'll be able to watch it & enjoy it with anyone else.

'high school musical'? never heard as well

apart from elvis - who will always be my #1* - i do like other 60s, 70s music, dated from my younger years. plus 40's bigbands and 50s, also SOME of the 80s and SOME of the 90s and VERY few contemporary stuff. guess that's a sign of growing old if one has not even heard the names of today's idols.

* he was already my alltime #1 in the 70s when it was regarded VVVEEERRRYYY 'uncool' by my schoolmates to be an elvis fan. believe me, i had to stand plenty of mocking .

LOL be prepared for the worst! on the other hand .... maybe in the meantime it is 'cool' again to be elvisfan? when i first realized there is a number of 'young' fans in forums and groups, it was a nice surprise.

so, IF this young man shall play the male lead in a remake - hope he enjoys it. very unlikely though that i shall by myself a ticket at the boxoffice.

Zac is a very nice young man. He knows much about Elvis and has respect for the 'Old' music. He made High School Musical because he likes Grease. And those movies have some things in common. It's always nice to talk to Zac and I think he will do a very good job! He will never compare himself to Elvis, and know that no one could be so big as him.
