Elvis fans are all shook up
Tuesday, September 4, 2007 Two Elvis fans who tormented their neighbours by playing the King's hits at all hours of the day and night have been fined.
Housemates Laura Collins and Samantha Lee also had their stereos seized after they breached noise abatement orders imposed by council officials in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
Andover magistrates fined 21-year-old Collins ?100 and ordered her to pay ?150 court costs after she was convicted of breaching the order.
Lee, who admitted the charge, will pay ?100 costs and forfeit her stereo.

When I am driving I have Elvis blasting and when I stop at a light next to a cop they never say anything to me. But a friend of mine who is black got a ticket for playing rap music. That is messed up. It should be equal to the white person who is playing Elvis and the black person who is playing rap.
"When I was a child, ladies and gentlemen, I was a dreamer. I read comic books, and I was a hero in the movie. So every dream that I ever dreamed has come true a hundred times. I learned very early in life that without a song, the day would never end; without a song, a man ain't got a friend; without a song, the road would never bend; without a song. So I keep singing a song." - Elvis Presley
In 1969 I was a young "apartment manager". We had one tenant that would absolutely BLAST his ELVIS music.Believe me the apartment manager never ever knocked on the door to tell him to turn it down.

I just smiled the biggest smile to know there was a kindred spirit in my vicinity.![]()
Luckily none of the other tenants ever complained or I would have been in a quandary.
I will never forget you Rosanne.
