If you could spend one night at Graceland...

Ahhh...one night in the palace...

I would hope that the reverse day/night thing would be in effect for this visit...so that I could live it just like Elvis did. I would want to walk through each and every room, taking my time, just absorbing everything about it, and hopefully feeling his presence there with me. Then off to the kitchen for some of E's favorite foods...good ol' southern cuisine! After that, it would be off to the jugle room for some music... I'd love to be able to go into the room with all of the TV's too...and hopefully watch home movies of him...how sweet would that be??

One thing's for sure...I would def sleep in his bed, or at least try to. I think sleep would be impossible due to the overwhelming thoughts of him having once lain in that bed.......so chances are I would not sleep, but if I did, what sweet dreams....

As for what to take home with me... It would have to be something personal. Something that he had touched, used, or that held significance for him. Hmmm.... I guess I'd have to make that decision based on what was there for the taking!

But it would be a dream come true, wouldn't it???

This sounds stupid, but i would smell everything Lol, just to get his essence and the 'feel' of him being there..i would take pictures and i would just take my time staring, imagining being there when Elvis was..wow..

What Would I Do? If I Spend The Night, I Would Have The Time To Go Through All The Rare Photographs, The Stage Costumes, Everything That He Owned And Then, Go Up To His Room To Explore And Lay In His Bed Without Going To Sleep Until Morning Until It's Time For Me To Leave. That Would Be A Moment To Remember For The Rest Of My Life!!!

I would like to visit every room.. Just living the experience and enjoying it. And I, maybe, would play the piano (if Lisa allows me to do that). If I could, would like to get an Elvis' photo with his real autograph on it as a souvenir. And voil?: the perfect moment in an EP fan could become true then.

I would like to get there very early in the morning, have Lisa greet me at the door and have her spend the whole day with me as my guide explaining things and what Elvis said and did in each room. I would like to see the total house, bedroom and bath included but couldn't even sit on the bed, maybe one of the chairs and then just walk around and soak in the atmosphere. We'd do a little horse back riding, swim in the pool, ride the golf cart, play a game of pool etc. I've never played racket ball but would want to give it a try.

I'd want to spend the night on a cot or something in the Jungle Room - that room has always fascinated me - I like the way the light filters through the room. Lisa would have another cot and we would stay awake talking and listening to Elvis songs all night like a couple of teenage friends having an over-night, then I would go home feeling closer to Elvis than before.

If I could spend the night at Graceland, I would wander all over, would stay more in the jungle room and his bedroom. I'd love to stay in the Meditation Garden at night too. Listening to the fountain with the beautiful lights on must be so comforting. If I could take anything, I take a pair of his pajamas. They symbolize him being relaxed and just being himself for me.

I would spend time in every room, but mostly in the bedroom, kitchen and den, and inspect all the details. I'm nosy! I would want to see and hold all the personal stuff like shampoo, colognes, brushes, etc. ; things people normally take for granted but use every day, just to get a feel of having lived there. What would I take? Maybe a shirt with the smell of his cologne still on it.

I'd wander all around the place and picture the house and area as it was back then while Elvis lived there, chill out in the jungleroom after wandering.
Take all the joy on it, alone. I wouldn't like to have any company.
