Which, sadly, sank on its first journey ... all the hype about it was untrue, and it didn't live up to expectations. Hence, I thought it was a strange analogy.

The Titanic hit an iceberg; hence it sank, but it was the best ship of it's day. That is the analogy. As I said, you are thinking of things the wrong way, in my opinion, the glass is half full, not half empty, and I'm not interested in verbal gymnastics with you.

He is a huge Elvis fan. When he was in the White House, he had a giant framed pic of Elvis in the 50s in his den.

In his autobiography (a good read, btw) he talks of his "Elvis" FBI code name, and how he loved in whenever he left the White House, he'd hear the FBI say "Elvis has left the building" over the walkie talkies!

Also, Elvis was his mother's favourite singer. He played Elvis at her funeral.

Wonder what Bush has in his den? Pat Boone maybe?

Bush has some Elvis items also which were given to him by Priscilla and Lisa on his visit to Graceland with Jonichuro Koizumi, the former Prime Minister of Japan.
