Another Uk Chart First For Elvis

The debate over recorded copyright extension has reached the UK Singles Chart for the first time as a public domain (any recording over 50 years old) Elvis track 'Blue Suede Shoes' has this week charted in the Top 20.

In the UK any recording over 50 years old becomes public domain property and can be issued by anyone. In the U.S.A. it is 95 years.

So basicly I can release that song (sung by Elvis, recorded by RCA) also in the UK?

And how about the profits: are they still going to BMG/EPE?
