The 'Elvis - Viva Las Vegas' Album has rocketed up the Billboard Chart this week from 105 to 54 and is shown as a 'Pacesetter'. Now this is good news.

I have this CD (are you referring to the new release?) and its wonderful, I listen to it in my car all the time....I have "Aloha From Hawaii" playing here at work - then I'll swap them out...lol. But the CD is very good.

Good news , maybe. But how many buying this CD are actually teenagers, young adults or new fans? That's what you got to remember.

Yes I think it doesn't matter who is buying it - as long as someone is.....but I think the younger crowd is really into Elvis now....heck...the member spotlight this month in Elvis Insiders is a 9yr old boy who loves everything Elvis.....that's pretty darn cool!
It may be a mixture of people.
I bought it and my 5 year old daughter is stealing it all the time. Can't get much younger than that!

Even if this cd doesn't go any higher tahn #54, some people with a lil intelligence and interest, have had a chance to hear some great music by the greatest vocalist of our time.
And to think that somebody around here had the audacity and the nerve to say that this disc wouldn't even chart close to the Top 50 ...

If it keeps climbing for a couple weeks then I'd say people other than we fans are buying. If it makes the quick climb then falls off the charts-it probably was just basically us fans.
There is a TV advertisement for this album in the U.S.A. I expect this is what has caused the upturn in sales.

Good News for sure. I love the CD's the sound is really good on them and maybe the fact that Wal-Mart is selling them at a decent price is helping sales too. Dovey
