Another factor, which Elvis Express Radio had warned about on its shows was bulk buying.

One source told us that some fans had bought anywhere from 6 to 30 copies of the single on the day of release and through
pre-orders via the internet for friends and family who were out of the country at the time, but due to rules to stop sales fixing, Elvis
LOST OUT as these would not count towards a chart placing......Some fans also bought through fan clubs which also denies Elvis
chart sales.
