Hurt - X-rated version (listener discretion advised)

The Mods may decide to take this down, but for those that haven't heard it, here is the legendary x-rated outtake of Hurt.

The language during the spoken portion is VERY salty, so if you're easily offended by language - and by Elvis being less than a choir boy - don't listen.

I don't know if he was singing about Cilla during this take. Maybe so. The clip certainly adds to the impact.

    Thanks to gettheknack on YouTube.

    .

    No, BurningLove, it is Elvis.

He recorded the song as a joke for his father, who went very red when he heard it. The story and the recording have been around for some time, and it is mentioned in recording books.

It sounds a little distorted here because the tape's a bit slow.

This is available on several bootlegs, eg CUT ME AND I BLEED, ELVIS X-RATED and IN A BLUE MOOD (audio DVD).

Hmmm, I`m not sure....if I like it on youtube , what would be the next thing that`ll show up there......something from Desert storm???
Well, it IS Elvis after all, I know......so I guess it`s okay, anyway it`s better than all the fake stuff...

Sounds kinda weird.....but, I've heard Elvis cussing before.
No reason to buy it though....I used to get those things sent to me on the net for free. I presume they wanted me to buy them......just never did.

I like his laughing & cutting up at rehersals , that was cool.
A man I've never met from Hawaii.....sent me all those where he was "cutting up". I truly have met a lot of nice people in Elvis World. It amazed me of the kindness of some fans when I got on line.
Of course, I met a few from "the Underground". That was a trip !!

I have heard the version of "American Trilogy" in which a fan yelled "I love you Elvis" and he replies "I love you to dear" then he starts to explain that he takes it seriously when someone says they love him-but hes interuppted by a guy who yells "I hate you Elvis" and Elvis replies "**** You" then halfway thru Trilogy he laughs and says "Only kidding"

How about Promised Land with the line "and the mother f***** is on the line".

    Classic, pure classic.

Elvis humor was funny, strange but funny.

edbdmiddy, I wouldn`t call it fun......in all sencerity....I really thinks he feelt what he was singing....I don´t know what or who it was all about for sure, but I think he sang just how he feelt......HURT
and I don`t believe the story about him just having fun......no way

I always thought that, the words he was saying before the outtakes of " It`s easy for you "(on the jungleroom session FTD)....."I get carried away very easily, emotional su....of a bit..,lol.......could have been the words that he actually said after, this recording of Hurt...but ofcause thats just my thoughts.........

    .

If you listen carefully, he also says "m-----f-----" and "God----" during the first take of Moody Blue on the Jungle Room Sessions CD.

    "It's the Italian version ..."

And what about the (obviously) unreleased song Wings of an Angel ...

    "... and the ***** of a big, hairy ****."

I think all of this shows his human side; a lot of non-fans I've played some of this for get a kick out of it. Elvis' image was often sanitised to the point of madness.

But I'm surprised that - with the labelling laws here in Australia - some of the recent releases haven't been slapped with a sticker warning of the content. Here, there's a warning sticker placed on every DVD and CD even if there is just one little word. Stupid, really.

I`ve heard it before and I just find it very funny especially seeing the pictures on youtube to go with it.
It definitely fits Priscilla and not always on my mind which she thinks is her song.

Classic! I've been looking for that one. I made an mp3 of it now and sped it up 4%. Now it's not running slow. If you're in 440 tuning it should be in the key of D.

I haven't heard this until today, although I had been looking for it! I was expecting something a lot more foul-mouthed! lol, and I know it is quite bad compared with our usual clean, wholesome hero!! -- Long Live Elvis, but compared to what some kidds in my school say on an hourly basis, it really isnt so bad! lol, cool though, he was just human and I like that side of him!
Life is beautiful, enjoy every second of it!! And don't forget to love!!
