Come on you guys, lighten up here....

We all have our own views and ideas on this. Respect each other please, and try and understand each others believes without getting personal.

Guinea fowl are the birds I raise. They are native to Africa.Do a google search for an image of them if youre curious.I raise them strictly for fun. They are raised oustide and they look something like a wild turkey. My garden is full of green and red tomatoes.Sometimes I pick green ones and fry them but I mainly pick ripe red ones.Along with my tomatoes I picked some squash and bell peppers.I may even get another mess of snap beans before to long.My giant sunflowers are doing nicely also.Must have had 20 hummers swarming at the feeders.Time to make some more sugar water for refills. My dogs also jumped 3 deer on the way to the garden.Quite the eventfull morning,Im sorry if I have bored anyone with my recanting of the my day's events which are completely off topic.

Nope, you didn't bore me Jak - fun to hear about your day. Your place sounds very similar to our place. I breed peafowl (peacocks and peahens from India and the Island of Java). I've always heard guinea fowl were good watchdogs. My husband has his tomatoes and veggies, I have my flowering shrubs. Our hummingbirds are much scarcer this year and of a different species than what we've had in previous years - strange year everywhere.

I had all I can stands too and WON'T stands no more.

Thanks for the info jak, glad your giant sunflowers and birds are doing well and wasn?t boring to read at all. This thread was in need of a touch of reality to finish.

Well thank you.A few years ago hunting was my passion.I liked nothing better than deer hunting or going out west to hunt. Now I cant even throw a fish in the cooler because I feel guilty. Now I just try to enhance my property to make it better for the wildlife.I would rather watch the wildlife than harm it.I only shoot my camera now when I see deer.I guess I feel there is enough pain in the world without me adding to it.Although Im sure many of you think my posts are a real pain

OMG! I'm very glad you did that (I can even ignore some of your posts for the sake of your quitting the hunt),you must have finally seen in those beautiful eyes of a deer what they tried to tell you all those times you were a hunter..hope you can convince some other hunters you probably know..I believe I can communicate somehow with animals and also believe they understand our intentions for them, good or bad..

Oh thank you thank you Jak - one more less deer hunter! I was on my husband's case for most of our married life and he finally gave it up too. He loves watching deer cross our property.

I have a hard time with the fishing though because I can't wait for him to catch the Maine trout (shame on me) lol. I'm anxious though to have a koi pond again and am fighting him to let me get a pair of Black Australian swans along with increasing my bird population. Poor guy, he puts up with my zoo and is kind to all of them.

Zey, you CAN talk to animals and read their sounds and body language. It's only people who see them as inferior beings instead of equal in their own rights that can't and boy don't they miss out in something special in this life. Isn't it funny for superior beings not to be able to understand their language while they learn a lot of our words? Elvis knew that too and collected his own zoo.

Not at all, your posts are always interesting and refreshing, including the garden and animal posts, and me too I am glad you quit hunting

    Hi Diane,

You are so right. Horses are especially responsive. I love lunging, bringing my aids down to being imperceptible to humans (oh except when I'm being silly, lol, but the horses understand that, too, lol) asking the horse to go forward, stop, walk, trot, canter, just by looking at certain parts of their body, or asking them to move in different shapes, while again, just moving, myself. It does come down to thoughts, and concentration, when in tune. A lovely thing.

Or when one of the horses doesn't feel he is getting enough attention, so he'll chews things while looking at us, to achieve his wanted attention. How they live quietly with other animals, how they can make your day, just by existing, being so calm. They reflect their owners, as do dogs, it is lovely to watch people interacting with their animals, when they have obviously spent a lot of time with them. I love the way you can think a thought, say to go out in the car, and the dogs just go nuts with excitement, just from that unexpressed thought.

    Hugs,
    Jess

Please make sure you know everything before being ********es like that.

Priscilla and Elvis did go to Bahammas a couple of days right after the marriage and after spending some time at Palm Springs.

There were racial tensions and Elvis did not feel comfortable there and after some time they went to "Hawaii" to finish out their honeymoon there. By then Pris must have known she was indeed pregnant.

It is stated in some books and even again in the very recent one of Sonny West. But Wanda told that some years ago alreaddy.

Wanda knows so much and even in elaborate pm's I never ever heard one thing that was really proven untrue. ofcouse she did not keep track of everything. I have lots of friends, good friends but don't know either what they do exactly every day or when exactly I phoned them, talked to them or saw them.

That would be a creepy friendship.
Donut and 0349054 are right. They didn't go to the Bahamas and they didn't go to Hawaii to "finish out their honeymoon there" as you suggest either. They went to Palm Springs for a couple of days and then spent the rest of their honeymoon between Graceland and the Circle G, culminating in the belated wedding reception at Graceland on 29 May. There are documented events throughout May to show he was definitely in Memphis, eg showing movies at the Memphian and buying jewellery for Priscilla's birthday. The book Day by Day records those events, but it's also clear from contemporary accounts that he was in Memphis. Gary Pepper was a Memphian who contributed to Elvis Monthly back in the 60s and in a 1967 issue of the Monthly he clearly states that Elvis and Priscilla were in Memphis for the month, and confirms the movie showings, etc. He should know, as his Dad worked at the Graceland gate!

As Donut said, Elvis was in Hawaii in May 1968. This was for 2 weeks. There was indeed a vacation to the Bahamas, but this took place in October 1969. Elvis had been to Hawaii in the earlier part of the month, and then left for the Bahamas on the 22nd for a week. Wanda's story is false.

So Sonny West is lying too . Wonder why he lies for something so innocent.

I recall reading it in other books too and will search for it when I have more time.

    Thanks for the info
But anyway even that failed trip took place 2 days after the wedding it wouldn?t affect in the slightest to what I was talking about in my post about that false conversation. That discussion created here about the honeymoon has nothing to do with the fact that the supposed phone conversation and vacation (according to WJH) took place after Elvis finished the film he was working on (?!), they learned Priscilla was pregnant (remember she didn?t know she wasn?t pregnant untill mid june), etc...

Conclussion: that vacation to Hawaii or Bermuda after they learned Priscilla was pregnant never took place, thus that phone conversation and those comments supposedly Elvis made to her about that vacation to WJH never existed.

And as jak said this thread has lasted too long and I?m not gonna waste more time on it. If you want to believe what that woman tells is up to you but I think it is fair to people considering to buy the book to know a lot of things she says couldn?t have taken place due the timing, locations and people involved.

See you all in more realistic threads guys.
