Thread: Feel Good Elvis?

    Feel Good Elvis?

There are days when you feel downright blue, it happens to us all one day or another

I was skipping through a few tracks on my computer (I have a few hundred!!) and came accross "Whistleing Tune" do you know what? I would never, ever choose this record out of 200 to listen too, but it just gave me that lift to make me feel more upbeat about my day.

So.... the question or questions are:-

    1. What quirky song makes you feel happy?

    2. What song do you like that you wouldn't admit too?

    3. Or are they both one and the same??

Thanks for asking! When I'm blue I listen to "Bridge Over Troubled Water", and when I wanna have fun I listen to a " Crawfish"
Sometimes I'm ashamed to say that I like Elvis' gospel, 'cause people think that I'm too young for Elvis and especially for his gospel songs.
But every day my shame turnes to fun and I hope one day I won't be so stupid to be ashamed of my music tastes at all!!!

Surrender is an awesom song that just isn't long enough. I've got the FTD His Hand In mine where Elvis does a Work Parts of the power ending, this is facinating to hear.

I'm happy all the time, when life throws a curve ball every now and then I turn to:

    "Reach Out To Jesus"

I dream a world where man no other man
will scorn. Where LOVE will bless the earth
    and peace its paths adorn...

OK, dont kill me but sometimes I like listening to the "Clambake" soundtrack !!!. Not because the music is top notch but mainly because it brings back memories of my childhood.

When Im in a tough situation I turn on Only the Strong Survive. Then I calm down and work at my problem.
"When I was a child, ladies and gentlemen, I was a dreamer. I read comic books, and I was a hero in the movie. So every dream that I ever dreamed has come true a hundred times. I learned very early in life that without a song, the day would never end; without a song, a man ain't got a friend; without a song, the road would never bend; without a song. So I keep singing a song." - Elvis Presley

If u get a chance, get the CLAMBAKE FTD that was released last year.

Like u said, the quality of the songs isn't top notch, but the sound is and there are sum great outtakes too
