    milton berle??

I was just watching Elvis with Milton Berle, they seem to have so much fun together.I enjoy his shows alot more than the Ed Sullivans .Milton seems to genuinely like Elvis.Did they ever meet after Elvis"s last show ( 56 I think).Does anyone know.?Did Milton make any comments about Elvis in latter years??Thanks for any info.

Milton Berle was a lot more open to change than Ed Sullivan, Sullivan was reactionary, where as Berle seemed more visionary.

I have read somewhere that Berle embraced rock n roll... more power to people who are a certain age and embrace change!

I think Milton could see the talent in Elvis. Ed Sullivan did not want him really on his show, until he got bombed in the ratings by Elvis on Steve Allens show. Steve Allen did not really think Elvis had talent and hated rock-n-roll.
So of the three Milton was evidently the more perceptive one.

Having been in the business many years, Berle recognized a great talent when he seen one, and lapped it up, unlike Steve Allen. Sullivan, though I'm not sure he ever "got" Elvis, at least complimented him greatly on his final appearance, which really helped turn a lot of the negative criticism around for Elvis.

First time I ever saw ELVIS was Uncle Milty's show. I was a little girl then, but boy was I mezmerized at the sweet fella on the screen. My folks and the other adults watching the black and white tv just scratched their heads in bewilderment at ELVIS.

I will never forget you Rosanne.
