Just saw during my recent visit to the jumpsuit exhibition at Graceland that the Black Pyramid suit doesn't have any diamonds in the pattern.
Unlike the white version, the gold studs here are actually tiny butterflies!
Who woulda thought?

It's indeed old news. But on the other hand, we can't all know the same things at the same time.
Non of these suits has diamonds. They were nails. Most of them with gold over silver layer. About three years ago I already mentioned the Butterfly shape of the nails. The official name of the suit is "Black Butterfly".
The "White Pyramyd" is named that way because the nails on the suit has a pyramyd shape. Like the one you will find below.
The "Black Butterly" had two versions. One with gold portholes with yellow inlay, yellow lined cape and yellow lined kock pleats. It is this version Elvis wore during the photo shoot in January 1972 in his Palm Springs home.
The one that's on display at Graceland has gold portholes with a gold-like inlay, gold lined cape and gold lined kick pleats.
Thank you for more information on the Black Pyramid (Butterfly) and White Pyramid suits. That kind of information is always interesting to me.
