I read an interviw with Susan. She met Elvis on the set of Live A Little, Love A Little, she played the mermaid...apparently they had an affair spending time together in a hotel maybe in Vegas...and then met up again for the 68 Special.....where they sure looked to be having a ball - the bits with them nibbling each other are great!
Elvis cheated on priscilla long before the wedding........come on anyone who thinks that two people that are not monogomous in a relationship are all of a sudden going to be when they get married is living in a dream world........Elvis was no different
Just because you are married doesnt mean all of a sudden someones going to be faithful - its just a piece of paper after all.... i am going out with someone for 6 years (getting married next month) and would not be unfaithful cause I love her. I dont think you could be unfaithful if you were in love. But thats just me everyones different and obviously Elvis was and couldnt help himself!
Everyones entitled to their opinion, but just because I think he was no saint does not make me any less of a fan! Some of the posts I have read are always taking Elvis side on everything and making him out to be something he possibly and most probably was'nt! Nearly everyone that every knew him has recounted that he loved women/sex and most of the time it was like a revolving door, and that includes his time with Priscilla

Elvis and Nancy Sinatra had an affair during the summer of 67 during the filming of Speedaway. That makes Priscilla 2 or 3 months into her pregnancy. Priscilla heard about that and confronted Elvis who obviously denied it. Not long after that was when Elvis asked Priscilla for a trial separation. This story is common knowledge and even Priscilla talked about it in her book. You can read about it in other books too and not long ago I read some quotes from Nancy about Elvis and the affair they had during Speedaway.
Were any of those affairs serious including Susan Henning? No.
Did he cheat first ? Yes.
Does it change anything ? No, his life was his and he could do whatever he wanted with it.

How anyone can deny Elvis' infidelity or numerous affairs after all these years is beyond me.It's all old news and water under the bridge.Elvis cheated on anybody he was with.Linda Thompson was certainly the other love of his life but he did her just like he did Priscilla.The man wasnt capable of being faithfull.People just have to accept that fact about him rather than pretend he wasnt that way.I know it goes against the image some have of him but it's just the way he was.Im not slamming him for it,just stating the obvious.

You are right, he couldn't stay faithful to any woman. He was able to do this, despite the fact that a lot of times the women he was involved with, knew he was dating or married to somebody else. Being in his position, it would have been almost impossible to keep faithful.
I'm going to put my two cents in here for what it's worth....yes, Elvis did date Susan for a short time during 68. I will also say that the "Let Yourself Go" number from the 68 Special in which she appears, has to be the hottest, most erotic thing you could watch without anyone removing any clothes. I have such a thing for her....if anyone has pics of her, either by herself, or with Elvis send 'em to me at davidcooper106@hotmail.com I'd truly appreciate anything anyone could send.
I agree.He faced temptation like few ever have Im sure.I do think it's unfortunate he cheated and lied while married.That's just the old fashioned streak in me.I think he could have kept his family together with a little more effort on his part.I know that's just speculation on my part.I think having a family at home was a positive and might have helped him out in the long term.It's possible it might have curbed some of his self destructive behaviour.

Yup, I agree with your post Jak. I may not like Priscilla but I don't hate her either and I do feel you're right that a permanent family atmosphere would have been better for him. Lisa Marie would certainly have benefited by it too.

to be a lil more serious only God knows what a couple do when they are together or why they are together ,or why someone needs someone other than his or her partner or wife or hubby..but oh yeah! it's the ultimate sin when you are seen with the opposite sex..you can't be alone,in same room or same bed or alone in some other place without everyone thinkin the very obvious thing behind their "know all" smirks, which makes me sick of marriages and of that simple general human mentality..sex isn't the best way "always" to satisfy one's needs or expectations, at least not in every relationship one could have during his/her life..it's not always the reason..
there can be some other reason in a continious search of a soulmate other than the bs which written in the books of that great "syco" called Freud or
just being a light headed naughty,spoiled boy,as many thinks in Elvis case..

The thing is, is that in that industry, that is the way things are. That is why, a woman would choose to be involved with a man in that industry, or not. We need to be fair. It is the same in some social circles. Any man that I know, in that position, would say "sure" and "why not". Let's be honest here, that would be including some men here, who have expressed same.
Of course women used their femininity to get ahead with their career, too.
A friend of mine, well he had a modelling agency in Australia, (I overheard he didn't tell me) and it is part of it all. People choose to be involved, or not. They then choose to take themselves away from the temptation, or not. Heck, people are hit on all the time.
I'm not excusing it, as my choice would be not to be involved unless I knew someone would be true to me. Part of it, part of the era (60's free love, which I don't quite understand that one
However, I would like to add, that people do speculate and add to it, when they weren't there, they don't know, as Elvis also liked friendships with women. The speculation and adding to the situation, that is what I find unfair, in my opinion.
