Great
never read this before
thanks for sharing
I'd like to go to Graceland
Memphis,Tennessee
Let's get this straight. Red LIES to ELVIS and tells him...
"Ah, we're writing the good stuff Elvis, people, the things..."
and also has the AUDACITY to tape a conversation with a friend without disclosing that he is being taped....and thinks nothing is wrong with that?*slaps forehead*
I will never forget you Rosanne.

I've heard and read this before. Friends like that you don't need. Elvis sounded so defeated......![]()

It is certainly an upsetting read and you can tell ELVIS is overwhelmed by the problems with the raquet court deal especially....and is trying to let his friend know how overwhelmed he is.....ELVIS' mind keeps going to that subject.
I am so angry that RED would tape ELVIS in conversation and not tell ELVIS, and not think anything wrong with doing that...that I am seeing RED!!!So okay with it that he has the nerve to put the taped words in the book!!!
How underhanded is THAT? I am outraged and can't believe more posters aren't.
Yes, ELVIS does sound so defeated. Life was caving in on him for sure....even his friends had turned to enemies.![]()

As mad as I am at Red Westfor taping the conversations and lying
flat out to ELVIS ...there were a few things I smiled at during the read through.
ELVIS: "Lawyers, they?ll **** you blind."
ELVIS: "I enjoy my work."![]()
Elvis: "I love to sing, that?s been my thing, since I?v been two years old.".
I will never forget you Rosanne.

This is in the transcript! What kind of friend is this?Elvis: Well, you take care of yourself and your family. And if you need me for anything I, ya know, would be more than happy to, to help out.
Red: I appreciate that. I appreciate that.
Red didn't appreciate Elvis, when he can do that!!
franny
A true friend would not have done that to Elvis.. pretty rotten in my book.. it is even out on Cd.. Poor Elvis was such a trusting man and look what his so called friends have said and done to him.Pretty sad in my book.
