" Don`t be so rough on the people, don`t treat them like they are going to jail"

To me it says something about how the crowd were sometimes treated and how Elvis didn`t like it.....great of him to try to stop it

But Toffe, now you mention the name The Black Phoenix suit, I always thought it was BLUE and not black, in pictures it looks blue to me

It is from Cut 'Em Down To Size.

As for the Phoenix jumpsuits. There is four of them. Their is three white suit with different color phoenix. One was red, black and pale blue. The pale blue one is a rare one of his. He wore the pale blue one only a few shows. That suit he wore June 28, 1974 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (CD: In Dreams of Yesterday).
From what I understand their was suppose to be another one but it wasn't made. I guess Elvis didn't want another one. It was suppose to be a red suit with a white phoenix.
