Its a Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber song. They have written some great music for Broadway and musical theater.
Does anyone like this song? I think it's one of his best original songs from the 70's. It has that 70's Pop sound and vibe to it. It's a real shame that EP didn't get to do more new pop music in the 70's like this instead of covering country standards. Listening to this song only makes the mind wonder what was coming next from EP.

I dream a world where man no other man
will scorn. Where LOVE will bless the earth
and peace its paths adorn...
I love this song, he puts his heart into this song.
I just love the songFirst time I heard it was when I got the FTD Jungleroom session.....wow
but later when I heard the original version on Moody blue, I couldn`t believe what they actually did to that beautiful song before releasing it, what a pitty......
Anyone who haven`t listened to the JRS version yet, should do so as soon as possible.......the power in Elvis voice is just....wow![]()
I don't like Andrew Lloyd Webber, Broadway or it's singing style - but 'It's Easy For You' surely conveys Elvis' emotions and his ability to interpret any song/singing style.
I did appreciate Elvis interpreting country standards though.
all the goons I left behind,

I JUST ADORE THAT SONG! It's one of my favorites![]()

It's not one of my favorites but I like this song. What song of Elvis don't I like except for a very few of the "movie" songs?![]()

Not one of his best. It's a bit of a dirge, in fact - just like all of Rice and LLoyd Webber's music.
The FTD outtake was certainly superior to the original Moody Blue release; I always skip over it if I listen to the album/s it's on.
I even bought the ALW boxset just for that song! And the version included was FTD JR sessions albeit better mastering at Abbey Road !
_Let's get outta here!__Elvis Presley On SACD___Juan Luis
One of his best ballads, in my opinion!!! (Always in my personal Top 10 favorites list!!)![]()
I agree that the version on JUNGLE ROOM SESSIONS is much better in terms of the lack of overdubs that occasionally overpower the original version!
