Without a doubt, I voted "My Way". The words of this song have always reminded me so much of my father, who was a big Elvis fan, and got to see him in concert in 1974 and '75. I was just 18 when my Father passed away suddenly. Not too long after that, the Platinum box came out, and the first time I heard the performance of "My Way" it was quite emotional for me. Dad was not a boastful or arrogant person by any means, but he was very much someone who lived life with no regrets, and always took responsibility for his own failures and success.

As I listened to Elvis, during his final months, singing about "the end", I thought about Dad. I thought about the love we shared for Elvis and his music, and how special that was. That's why "My Way" will always be so personal to me.

The Wonder of You! Favorite song. Can't help Believing comes in second.
America has contributed four things to the world that are really unique: Baseball, Coca-Cola, Mickey Mouse and Elvis Presley. And only one of them is human - - Jerry Hopkins - "Elvis" - A Biography.

This is my first thread and as you can tell by my name If I Can Dream is my favorite song of all. Another good one is Don't.

For me, it depends on how my life is going at the time. I went to a funeral yesterday, and watched as they buried a 22 year old young man who had committed suicide after battling some demons for a few years now. Right now I can only think of gospel, and the song "Lead Me, Guide Me" is what I'm connecting to right now.

    Wink Which song.....

I voted for Always on My Mind... yet I love Hurt because I think it came from his soul, and Seperate Ways.... being divorced I connect to the pain it causes.... and what it's like as in Moody Blue... to have a circle of friends but still be insecure and lonely so your very soul hurts...
    Elvis, today, tomorrow, forever!

For ol' times sake....this is maybe the most beautifull and best ballad ever!
It fitted Elvis' voice perfectly and the song brings so much emotion...

Since I'm going through some very tough teen-ager/parent times, the song that does it for me is "We Call On Him" Right now, Amazing Grace is my CD of choice.

I love the song "As Long As I Have You". But there are so many others that I feel "related" to. Elvis has so many great songs.
Let the stars fade and fall, and I won't care at all, as long as I have you.
