It's really hard to say,Jen.I do agree with you about Elvis wanting to find a woman like his mother.A caring, sensitive, strong person.
I wonder sometimes if elvis turly loved the woman he was with though his life. It seems that elvis always bought up marriage and children to everyone he was with, but l don't think anybody was really enough for elvis to become a faithful man. Maybe like he was seaching for someone that was alot like his mom, strong, loving. great mother, but he never seemed to find that perfect girl..just my thoughts

The One and Only King of Rock'n'Roll.
I agree with you both........he wanted one like his mother. In my opinion I thought he really did love Priscilla, but don't think no where was she close to Gladys at all.Do you think he would have been faithful with a woman that would have been exactly like Gladys?
Elvis deeply loved and cared for the woman he was with! that's my opinion and i'm sticking to it. and he deeply loved Priscilla, imo. i don't recall that he went into a deep funk songfest for any of the other women in his life - even AnnMargret - who [also, IMO] he should have held out for.

Getlo - cute'n'cuddly
Can you elaborate on that Getlo.
I think that was only part of it. He was with her the longest, yes he wasn't always faithful to her, but imo Priscilla was the one he just couldn't get over and loved her more than all the others. Romantically speaking.
ELVIS DID LOVE THE WOMEN HE WAS WITH. HE ALWAYS TREATED WOMEN WITH RESPECT AND KINDNESS. I DO THINK THAT ELVIS DEEPLY LOVE PRISCILLA AND THEY WERE VERY HAPPY FOR A TIME. IT'S BEEN SAID THAT WHEN THEY FIRST MET ELVIS SAW MANY OF THE QUALITIES IN PRISCILLA THAT HE SAW IN HIS MOTHER AND I THINK HE WAS LOOKING FOR A WOMAN WAS SIMILAR TO HIS MOTHER. BUT ELVIS LOVED MANY WOMEN HE HAD A GREAT CAPACITY TO LOVE. I JUST HOPE THAT THESE WOMEN WHO ELVIS LOVED (PRISCILLA, LINDA, GINGER ETC) REALLY LOVED HIM TOO. I ALSO THINK THAT HE A GREAT LOVE AFFAIR WITH THE WOMEN OF THE WORLD (HIS FANS).
I don't know about Ginger but I believe he did Priscilla and think next would be Linda.

I think that Elvis loved Pris very much I think next to his mother Pris was it!! I think he loved Linda but in a different way...Linda was everything to him, a girlfriend, a mother, a sister etc.. Lets face it he was a womanizer and girls were a dime a dozen to him..I don't think he gave 100% in any relationship he was in....He honestly didn't see where it was a big deal to see lots of women..He had the mind set that these other women didn't matter, u know what happens on the road stays on the road
Son if you ever say another derogatory word about Elvis Aaron Presley I WILL KICK THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF YOU!~
I think Elvis loved "All" woman and that was a problem. Dovey![]()
i get what you're saying, Getlo. but wouldn't he have been singing 'sweetheart, you done me wrong' songs, instead of 'Love has slipped away left us only friends'?
of course, being Elvis, he'd have done the Timberlake 'what goes around comes around' kinda song, then maybe have been apologetic and sung the other remorseful songs, too.
And Dovey, i agree. he loved all women, a nd espsecially the one who was standing next to him at that moment!

I remember Sonny West said Elvis could never be a one woman man and he thought that Elvis was just not meant for marriage. He did love women that's for sure.
Well.......................I guess you are right on that one I never looked at Elvis as a womanizer.I always stayed clear of his faults........and loved him for what he is.
