why won't EPE release this video

i saw the clip on you tube for if you love me let me know from rapid city 77 and i thought it was excellant why can't EPE listen to the fans for a change after all we are paying there wages it should be up to the fans if they want to buy the dvd of his last two concerts but it should be shown as its entirety sorry if that is not spelt right. I am sure that most fans are ready to see these concerts now.

I agree with you Tilly that it is high time EPE listened to the fans regarding the CBS TV Special, but the possibillity of that happening is about as good as Elvis returning to us. However, like the others, right now I'd give my right arm to see your original post on this topic!

Believe it or not, so far EPE had enough respect to not release the two tapped concerts for the 1977 TV Special. They say it's due the fact that, Elvis wouldn't want to be seen that way and he was going to re-tape it on his next tour but my opinion is, EPE does not like to use any images of Elvis past 1973. The've spent so many years promoting the young Elvis of the 50s and even made two movies that wouldn't go past, 1968. As if to say that was Elvis' last great acomplishment. So release the outtakes of the 1977 Concert would mean that they are taking a risk again in people telling the "fat Elvis" jokes again. That's not to say that, They'll probably use it as a last card to make extra cash. Maybe have a mini theather across the street from Graceland to watch it.

I personally think the 1977 footage should be released. I can understand if they want to "edit" something like "Are You Lonesome Tonight", but the vast majority of the songs are good and his voice is incredibly strong!

In my oppinion they should re-make the Elvis in concert cd, delete all the fan and Vernon talking and add some more songs, Elvis had a powerful voice right till the end and thats what I would prefere remembering, not the way he looked.
I have all the footage(June 19 and 21)and I`m sure that we have all seen it, but I`m not sure that I want that out officially....what good would it do for Elvis??

I`d rather see some more footage from EOT 72 out...but that`s another story
