Red Phoenix Jumpsuit (1975)

I've never rated that jump-suit as one of his best. I can't exactly say why, but I don't think it really cuts it along side some of the others.

BTW, what is the total number of jump-suits?

First of all he never felt comfortable in the two-piece. He didn't have the freedom he had in his jumpsuits. And it was HIS performance. So the very first thing we have to think about is what made HIM feel good. Not what we would want to see....

Great job with the illustrations! The embroidery stripes on the wings of the suit, legs, and the belt buckle is applied with a machine called a Cornely. Probably a Cornely FB, since you can't see the stitches. It is actually a rope called "rattail" and It fades quite easily. I'm sure it started out red and washed out to pink.
