i cant see any possible reason why BMG dont release IF I CAN DREAM as a single for august 16.there is a marvelous video which is on the re-vamped 68 comeback box-set. i can not see this song not going top 5 or even no1 in the 30th anniversary year.
i would like to hear youre comments on this subject please

As much as I love this song I dont think it will have the success you mention.It would probably have to be a remix of a unknown song (to the general public)to get air play.With the loyalty of the fans any song would be a hit especially in the UK as it has been proven in the last couple of years.I hope something is released and has the full backing of the Estate and BMG.But unfortunately itcomes down to money and how much of their investment they would get back as it is toosoon for a follow up greatest hits to be issued.Maybe the dvd release of ON TOUR or THIS IS ELVIS and a single to coincide with that would be the best idea.

It was re-released after 9-11 attack with "America the Beautiful" and it had a video for play on computers on the disc. It did pretty well.
