I prefer the sound quality of the remix but would love to hear the original remixed to a DSD quality with the fat bass and drums high in the mix. Also, it annoys me when they mix the drums to the right or left channel. Keep central if possible.

Although it was a No 1 in the UK. I voted for Non remix and I didn't care for the remixed version. It was too much repeating in certain parts of the song.

    I voted for Non Remix.

I voted for the non-remix version .. Elvis hated when people "touched" or did something with his music. I know that the song became no. 1, but Elvis wouldn't have liked it, and neither do I.

I like that the remix opened it up to younger people who wanted to listen to Elvis' music. I like both versions, but the remix I like a little better.

I go for the non-remixed version. It was the original one and that takes the whole credit.

i always liked the original, always thought it could be remixed and made to sound modern and appeal to todays charts, great remix.

would love to see something similar done with Wearin That Loved On Look.

I have to say I liked the remixed version for a spell and then I went back to the original just because that kicks *** too.

In todays charts when acts release a single CD there is usually a re-mixed version, this is how I look at the Elvis remixes as something that can potentially bring in new fans but it will always be horses for courses

On the flip side of this thread (and a little off topic.....sorry) whenever I hear an alternate take of a song that hasn't been overdubbed e.g. "In The Ghetto" and "Suspicious Minds" from albums like "A Touch Of Platinum" it send the hairs on the back of my neck on edge! To hear Elvis' voice without all the backing is pure heaven, this guy could sing

When the "Our Memories of Elvis" albums came out after Elvis died I thought exactly like you- undubbed many of them just sounded better with more Elvis less dubbing. I also feel the same about remixes if it helps get people to see his talent, then explore him afterwards great.
