Anything scarey, with suspense and surprises, not into blood. There were a lot of good movies in the 70's, which I enjoyed. Plus some great suspenseful series. Monkey Paw was on of the episodes? Can't recall, the name of the series, all scarey, loved them! I wish they'd bring them back to see if I still love them! Plus Twilight Zone, I'd stay up late and soak it all in, and wonder when watching some movies, if I was about to be bitten by a vampire coming through my window (loved it! lol).

I liked Steven King books, but the movies didn't really seem to capture the books as well as I would have liked, empty. I love movies with a haunted house plot and people fight against it. It is rare for me to watch movies more than once, so don't have any favourites.

Not into the books now I'm older, I''m always looking for good books to read.

I don't like the chainsaw, Chuckie etc, type movies. I like the Alfred Hitchcock intense movies. The ones that suck you into the movie so that when a character does something you jump in surprise. New movies - the last suspense movie I saw that I enjoyed was Copycat & Silence of the Lambs. I did see the Crow. I liked it okay, it was a bit rough for me though.

I love scary movies but not the blood and gore ones and I don't like scary puppets, dolls or clowns but I did like It by Stephen King. I buy every book by Stephen King and love them, but as Jess said, the movies don't come up to the books and some of them have been too graphic.

I love vampire movies, especially the old Christopher Lee movies. To me he was the best of the vampires. Also like some science fiction like Enemy Mine, the TV series Taken and Star Man.

I liked Blade but prefer X-Men.

Hey, I too like Stephen King?s books esp. "Christine". You said movies don?t come up with the books. Well, have you seen the Dreamcatcher? I first read the book and later went to see the movie. I think it came up pretty good to the book! If you haven?t seen it yet, I think you should, it?s great

Hi Desiree, yes I have the movie Dreamcatcher - have all of Stephen King's books and movies. I found it all right but still not up to the book. I wish the producers and directors would give Steve more say and strain themselves for a bigger budget on his movies. I think that would improve them a lot.

My favorite of the movies was Stand By Me of course and I did enjoy It, Storm or the Century, Dolores Clairborne and a few others. Diane

I enjoyed the book and movie "The Stand" it is an awesome work IMO.
I love cheesy B-Horror & Sci-Fi movies. Anyone ever heard of "Hillbillies in a Haunted House"? Lon Chaney Jr. Basil Rathbone, and a host of country music stars from the 50s and 60s (Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard...) Its a riot of a movie. I like the ones so bad-they are good.

KPM, you're right The Stand was a very good movie.

If you really like terrible, bad, cheesy movies try getting a hold of Dr. Death. Don't think they get any worse than that. Diane

Elvis_Priestly Abbot and Costello Meet the Mummy!

The Ghost & Mr. Chicken! or Arsenic & Old Lace, I loved these movies. There's one with Bob Hope, but I can't remember the name. It was remade (or a remake) of one by Abbott & Costello, about going to a haunted castle in Cuba. These are great movies.

I loved the book and the movie "The Stand" as well. It has been many years though, lol.

I don't know, is it just me, or there isn't much around these days?
