Elvis Jumpsuits: All Access Website And BookEPE

Elvis Jumpsuits: All Access Website And BookEPE is working on a special (mini) website and book for the "Elvis Jumpsuits: All Access" exhibition. "Elvis Jumpsuits: All Access" is the largest-ever exhibit of Elvis?s iconic costumes, is now open at Graceland. This special exhibit features 56 of Elvis?s stage outfits from the major concert era of his career (1969-1977), and walks you through the evolution of the design of Elvis's stage-wear of this era. See simple two-piece karate-inspired suits to the famed "jumpsuits" with elaborate rhinestones and matching capes.

    The (mini)website: http://www.elvis.com/jumpsuits/

Part of the exhibition is a 36 pages soft cover book.

    Synopsis:

Elvis Jumpsuits: All Access features stunning photos of many of the suits included in this first-ever exhibit at Graceland. See the evolution of the design of Elvis?s stage wear?from his two-piece karate-inspired suits to the ?famed? jumpsuits with elaborate rhinestones and metal studding with matching capes.

This unique book includes remarkable photos and information on each jumpsuit and gives you an up-close look at some of the intricate detailing that went into Elvis?s suits. Many of the pages feature great concert and album cover photos of Elvis wearing these outfits.

Um...they need to check their info....the "Owl"/"Royal Blue Fireworks" suit was not manufactured in 1969....

Here's what Leroy sent me as a reply in an e-mail I sent him asking about the suit (I hope he doesn't mind me posting the reply he sent me):

    Hi Tony,

The "Royal Blue Fireworks" was part of a set of suits ("Blue Nail", "Black Butterfly" and "Red Pinwheel") that were designed and produced in the last leg of 1971 and delivered to Elvis in January 1972.
I'm not surprised by the "mistakes" EP made.

    Kind regards,

    Leroy

To me the book looks Awesome and I'll be buying one for sure just for the photos since you can never get any through glass worth a darn anyway. The only thing I don't like is the exhibit is 56 concert suits, and the book is only 36 pages. They should have just made a page for every suit or a full two page layout like the example they show for every suit. Unless with the improvements they build a permanent home across the street in the plaza for this, this may be the only chance some get to see that stuff. I'm buying it, but I don't quite understand why they'd do it so short. I may be wrong but I'm guessing there are people even on this board who won't buy it even if they're interested because
    it's too short.
