But... does it have to be a video concert ? or can it be just an audio recording ?
I'm asking because my favourite concert would be the show on the December 13th 1975 MS. I love the way Elvis performs.. just extraordinary...
And i'd like to add that Elvis On Tour and That's The Way It Is are not whole concerts... i mean... you know, each one of these two documentaries contains songs from several concerts so i guess the way you expressed yourself is a little bit too... general, if you'd like, Burning_love.![]()
No, TTWII and On Tour are not films of concerts.
A concert is:
1. a public musical performance in which a number of singers or instrumentalists, or both, participate.
2. a public performance, usually by an individual singer, instrumentalist, or the like; recital: The violinist has given concerts all over the world.
A concert is a singular performance. TTWII and On Tour are collections of individual songs taken from different concerts.
In a pinch, though, they could be referred to as "concert films", although that's strictly incorrect.
Aloha and Elvis In Concert (well, duh!) are concerts.
If we're talking Elvis On Tour - the Hampton Roads evening show featured in the film is one of my favorites! When he sings "I Can't Stop Loving You" - the power is just incredible!
"I can't see my reflection in the water. I can't speak the sounds that show no pain. I can't hear the echo of my footsteps. I can't remember the sound of my own name" - Tomorrow Is A Long Time
I guess that srj1967 made it clear enough... sorry for confusing you Burning_love![]()
Lets not let this thread go the way some other threads have gone we dont want to get into a debate about what are concerts and what are not, it just means we will be goinfg of the origanal question.

If you go by that then Elvis In Concert too is not a concert but songs from different shows. Yes, it is mostly from Rapid City but some of Omaha is in there too. So only Aloha is a concert........That is going by what you wrote. How Great Thou Art is from Omaha and so is Early Morning Rain and so is Can't Help Falling In Love and parts of the video of See See Rider is also from Omaha.

As for my favorite, The Eagle Has Landed or The King Goes Bananas is my favorites.
The '68 Comeback Special, cuz he looked and sounded the best in his whole career. That was Elvis at his peak!
Aloha From Hawaii is a close second.
YOU LOOKIN' FOR TROUBLE? YOU CAME TO THE RIGHT PLACE.
The Midnight Show, (is that the one with the laughing version of AYLT?)
Also, loved Afternoon at Madison Square Garden. I'm only just now getting familiar with the concerts, so I can't name them by place & date yet. But I'm working on it!!
3 September 1972 the 3 am show, it was magic!
Hey thanks for answering my questions. I don't want an argument ! After all we talking about Elvis here. I just love TTWII and i class it as a concert. Sorry for the confusion people.
I love all Elvis concerts/shows and i believe he put his heart and soul into everything he did. I love him !
Sorry for the misunderstanding![]()
I can't decide between ALOHA FROM HAWAII or THAT'S THE WAY IT IS.
But if i had to choose one than it would be ALOHA FROM HAWAII.
Some of you all never been down South too much...
I'm gonna tell you a little story, so you'll understand where I'm talking about
