I guess Elvis' live performance of this song won't be your favorite. The king doesn't know MOODY BLUE too well, it sounds more like a rehearsal. Two or three other run-throughs and the song would have worked well. But unfortunately Elvis never sang it again. It became a rarity, but nothing more.
I think he performed Moody Blue not that bad...OK,maybe he should have rehearsed it more,but i think it was OK...really a shame he didn't performed it more than once...would really made his concerts more enjoyable if he did this song and more songs of his 2 latest albums

The first time Elvis sung Moody Blue on stage, Elvis did not know the words to well and had to read the song. The live Moody Blue is on the Alternative Moody Blue album download.
