Elvis grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can
and the wisdom to know the difference![]()
This is one of the suits that I always thought would have looked sharp with a cape. Nevertheless, it's still one fine piece of work.![]()
"Don't tamper with the property of the U.S. Male"
This was the suit that he wore the first time I ever saw his show in Louisville, Kentucky.
Won't you sing me away to a summer night, let me hold her in my arms again.
I just put these two up on my site, so i will also put them up here![]()

Two from October 5, 1974
The company that sells these outfits reproduced from the "original" specifications do offer a cape to go with this outfit.... and it looks pretty sharp indeed.
Had the thrill of seeing Elvis wear the peacock suit in Philly, 1974, afternoon show! Wow was it flashy. One of his best ever.

Here's one but i dont know what date it is.
I believe the Col. paid $10,000 for the famous Gold Lame Tuxedo in the 50s.
The Col asked Elvis the first time he wore it to avoid getting on his knees because of the Gold in the suit rubbing off. End of First song he takes a run and slides on his knees to the edge of the stage. He sneaks a look at Parker who is red faced and fuming. The guys are trying not to bust a gut laughing and one worries that Parker will want them to sweep the stage for gold when the show is over.
Hear is one I never saw before he looks happy!![]()
I did it my way.
The Forum of Inglewood, Los Angeles - California May 11th, 1974, 2:30 pm show. Elves is wearing the "Peacock" with the belt of the "White Spanish Flower" .
The Peacock jumpsuit, used during a 1974 tour, proved to be one of Elvis? personal favorites.
A white jumpsuit with a V-neck and high collar, the Peacock features a large blue and gold bird rendered in a stylized design on both the front and back.
The peacock was the most expensive jumpsuit Elvis ever had made, costing over $10,000.
The peacock designs were handembroidered with gold thread.
The belt includes gold medaillions that alternate with designs that look like the eye of a peacock feather.
Elvis was attracted to peacocks because they represent eternal life. At one time, he kept a few of the birds at Graceland, but he gave them to the Memphis Zoo after one of them ruined the surface of his Roll Royce.
