On one of Elvis mini series played by Michael St Gerard, I believe they had an episode about Elvis and this steel guitar he use to borrow from someone in his early days. Going by the collection on Elvis's Ecard there is no steel guitar. Does anyone know about this guitar that Elvis supposed to have had? Only I have never seen photo's of Elvis with a steel guitar in any biographies about Elvis.
Is this the guitar in question?
Did Elvis own a steel guitar in his early days?

A dobro was a popular intrument in the blues those days, it is probable that Elvis may have borrowed a guitar every now and then as a teenager so there is a chance that somebody may have borrowed him a dobro at one time, but that was before the sun days and were talking about a one day thing, and its just a posibility.
As far as Elvis owning one of those, no he didn´t.
