Please see the story on the link. Maybe Elvis guitar specialists will know about this item?

They can leave a comment on that website..and here too of course.

It looks like the guitar Elvis used on the 68 Comeback Special.

That is not the guitar that was used on 68 Special. It does look like it in a way. The one that Elvis used on that special wasn't his. It was Scotty Moore's guitar. Elvis' guitar was the red on you see him play at the beginning and on certain songs during the stand up shows.

Yeah.. The only time I've seen EP play a Silvertone was a pic from Germany, but I don't think it was even this model.
The red hollow body is 68 is a Hagstrom and the 2 guitars he played in the sitdown are both Gibsons. The acoustic is a J200 and the Electric hollowbody is a Super400 (I think).

You are correct....almost.....the electric guitar that Elvis used in the '68 Comeback Special was Scotty Moore's Gibson Super 400CES...Scotty sold the guitar years ago (it has several mising parts) and it currently resides in Memphis, I believe....or will reside in Memphis in the near future.

I want to retract my post about Elvis playing a Silvertone in Germany..It looks like a Silvertone, but it was an Isana Jazz Guitar...so now..I've never seen a pic of Elvis with a Silvertone.
