Elvis grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can
and the wisdom to know the difference![]()

I dream a world where man no other man
will scorn. Where LOVE will bless the earth
and peace its paths adorn...
The original belt that was desinged for this suit was a huge mirror belt which he used only twice during the June 1972 tour. The thin blue macramé belt he used in Vegas in September 1972 is from 1971. He used it for the first time on a suit named the "Knot Suit". Finally in 1973 a new belt was designed which seemed to be more in place. The "Tin Blue Macramé Belt" was his favourite. So you see there are three different belts.

The " Blue Swirl " with an alternative belt.
The ' mirror belt ' was used in February 1972 with the " Black Pyramid "( at least a few times ) and on some occasions with the " Black Fireworks " jumpsuits.
The " Blue Swirl " was worn in August 1972 with a macrame belt ( similar to the ones used in 1970 ) and in April 1973 with a regular stage belt. Those two belts were both designed for this stage attire.
On September 2nd Elvis performed his usual dinner & midnight shows, in a very quick turnaround another one was added at 3:00 a.m. The photograph above is from this special 3:00 a.m. show.
The "Mirror Belt" could not have been used in February for this belt was originally designed for this suit which is originally named "Lucky Suit".
And what makes you think.........
The Blue Swirl Jumpsuit has always been one of my fave Elvis Jumpsuits and it would have been nice if Elvis wore it for the 'On Tour" filming
This is NOT the "Blue Swirl Suit". It's called "Lucky Suit". The "Blue Swirl" was worn in 1974.
Hihihihi; I'm not sure, everybody called it "the blue swirl" except you, Leroy...
You're a big Fan, like us, not a teacher !!!!
Stop to shoot the mistake Leroy, it's bad to us...
We are here to spend a good time !!!!
Don't stress, be cool.
It's not that I want to be a teacher. I have called this suit the "Blue Swirl" for many years too but the designer of the suit pointed out to me that it was wrong. I'm just here to share knowledge and to try to stop untrue myths as there are too many in the Elvis world. If I would call "Jailhouse Rock" the "Prisoner's Song" I would be corrected too. It's the same thing.
All these suits got designer names and I happened to know them. And I'm just passing them on. If that is something you can't appriciate then the problem is not at my side.
I said that I thought !!!!
I saw yesterday, on the Bill Belew's links, that's jumpsuit called "the Blue Swirl", effectively... (b-k-enterprises)
But, sincerly, I don't care !!!!!
Le'ts called the "lucky suit", otherwise, that will be no correct for our
friend, Leroy !!!!
Is it your pleasure ????
You'll be a moderator !!!!! You are the best one !!!!
Thank you Leroy.
