This suit, because of its vertical orientation, should slim Elvis down, instead, he looks like crap in it. If only he'd have worn this before all the weight gain. I like his simple suits, sometimes less is more.

I have always wondered why the belt with this suit had no chains??? Anybody knows?

I noticed that, there are holes for the chains but as far as I can see there were never any on this belt, even pictures from 1975 don't show any chains??

From some of the photo's I have of this suit it looks like the earliest time Elvis wore this was in Dec 1975, can you Imagine how this would have look on Elvis in Aug 1975?

This is BEAUTIFUL in person, but the pics of Elvis wearing it are not flattering at all. I also can't get into the sideburns he wore in this period. They are too "pointy" and cover up too much of his face.

Elvis should not have been wearing jumpsuits during this time.
"When I was a child, ladies and gentlemen, I was a dreamer. I read comic books, and I was a hero in the movie. So every dream that I ever dreamed has come true a hundred times. I learned very early in life that without a song, the day would never end; without a song, a man ain't got a friend; without a song, the road would never bend; without a song. So I keep singing a song." - Elvis Presley

If Elvis had of worn this in 1970 and the design was slimmer it would have looked a lot bet IMO.

I never thought this suit was anything special -- apparently, not an uncommon feeling -- and generally thought it not flattering to positively unflattering in the photos and video I'd seen of Elvis wearing the suit. Usually, though, these jumpsuits are far more beautiful to behold in person or in very detailed photos. Sure enough, the photos on page one of this thread, by thejumpsuitman and stefankoch, let us see the suit in a whole new light, as do a couple of excellent shots in the book Elvis Fashion.

The level of detail accorded Elvis' suits, in the most complex and busy designs and in the more simple ones, could never be appreciated in the vastness of a stadium but a close-up view in photos or in person can be like seeing the suit for the very first time. Elvis' jumpsuits were far more than mere stage costumes; they were works of art.

I agree, it's not the most flattering of suits given Elvis' weight problems in 1976-77 Imagine Elvis wearing this circa 1970-71 and I think it would have looked great.

I agree that he didn't look that great in it....or should I say it did not look good on him.
Even though I like the stones due to the fact that blue is my favorite color.I think he would have looked better in it around 70-72.

Looks okay but definitely not one of the better known jumpsuits Elvis wore.Maybe it`s just me.
