a complete 70's masters box set

i still think that we should have all of E.P.'s 70's recordings in one box set[walk a mile, essential 70's omiited so many ] , i felt cheated years ago with the walk a mile... i mean we got every studio track on the 50's [movie tracks and all ] on that set, and the 60's pretty much covered all the basics, but the 70's left out alot of tracks that should have bin included, no if's ands.or but's. when this first came out i wrote in to T,M.A.H.M. and ernst gave all an explanation that they had leave out certain tracks because of their signifacance[this is titled the essential 70's masters, hence all the 70's masters should have bin on this release period], so what if it would have taken 10 cd's , i'm sure completists like me and others and joe public would have loved to have all the 70's tracks in one cmpilation, any of you out there felt or feel the same, i say its time to get around to those promised live compilations that we were promised way back whaen, ernst no longer takes my questions about this , but i just wish bmg/rca would stick to their promises.

Ernst does a great job and has given us some great releases. We are getting the live releases ,they are on the FTD label.I doubt you will ever see an Elvis concert on the main label again.Only chance would be On Tour and that's probably a slim chance.Elvis just doesnt move the units that he use to.A boxset would be a fairly substantial investment for BMG with little hope of good return. How many times can you keep recycling Elvis' hits? He's been gone for 30 years.Even when he charts it's a pitifully small number because actual sales are fairly small.Just be happy we got FTD.I dont see anything major on the main label down the road period. It's all been released already.

    box set

regardless of sales figures, we were promised complete 70's masters , the title was misleading, and yes i know we havn't much to complain about live cd's - with the collectors label- ijust felt and still feel, that this was a project that they re neged on.[just my opinion though].

They did in fact leave obvious choices off the 70's box for reason's I dont understand. They should not have included the live disc in the set.It is completely out of place.

I have the 70's Masters and was disappointed that tracks were missing. They could have included all the studio tracks. I thought they did release a box of Elvis 70's concerts. All the live albums could have made another boxset.

yes i found this odd and even wrote to TMAHM when they had the column ask ernst.. of course i never got a response, the title was and is the complete 70's masters , and should have included every master track from this era period-no excuses, even all gospel recordings should have bin included- buy again if they did thsi they knew yhat many would not be back in stores buying the rehashes. The live stuff should of come out on a seperate set[all live recordings made before his death], but then again they did come up with the platnum set , complete gospel set, don't get me wrong i love these sets , but the train keeps a rolin for the schemes to bring in cash, and they know there are alot of completists, who will plunk down the dough just have it all.[just my opinion],
