I know he received the YMCA Young Man of the Year award, how many other awards did he receive during his life time. Did he receive a star in Hollywood while he was alive? And finally does anyone know if he had ever been invited to do a Commencement Speech at Humes HS? Thanks in advance for any information

hello lisarose,
elvis obviously received many awards during his life and there are many pictures to prove that, in fact there are lots. i would be surprised if anyone knew just how many he was awarded and by whom. the jaycees award which you mention was probably the one which he was most proud of as he wore the medal or meddallion quite often in public after the presentation.

Have looked on that webpage, maybe I don't know how to phrase my questions, because I get lists of musical acheivements - gold records, platinum records, grammys awarded. I was looking for personal acheivements like the YMCA Young Man Award.
