I've not only never heard that EP had diabetes but further find it ridiculous to the point of utter stupidity that it could have been hushed up all this time. A diabetic needs special treatment, at least on a monthly basis, which would have been easily found out by someone.
That site should be sued for misrep and false info by EPE.

FYI
Diabetics need to manage their disease on a daily basis. Either by pill form or needle form called insulin (which was invented in my hometown...London Canada). They also are required to manage their diets appropriately.
I understand that Elvis liked his Pepsi...unless he drank diet, which is sugar free, this would be proof that he was indeed NOT diabetic.
So, according to law, we need have no respect for the dead...

Having talked the situation over with a lawyer friend, he assures me that EPE could in all likelihood sue these people. In fact, if they persist in this foolishness, they probably will hear from EPE.
Sorry, but slander and libel do not apply to the dead, at least not here in Australia.
And besides, saying Elvis had diabetes isn't libelous or slanderous anyway.
EPE may have a case if they challenge this site to come up with actual proof. But I don't think they'd even bother. It would be a waste of time and money.
So, Elvis had diabetes, they're saying ... so what? He's had some awful things thrown at him these past 30 years; I don't see this as a big deal.
I have emailed the website's press agent demanding to know where they got their "information".
I wrote as a representative of the Elvis Australia website and as a News Limited journalist (which I am), so hopefully my huffing and puffing will pay off with a reply.

I've seen many reputabile organizations report Elvis was a diabetic.
Though it was never acknowledged , I'm not so sure he wasn't. It would explain a great many things about his appearance.
His weight gain & loss ; his glaucoma , depression & his complaints of the lights hurting his eyes.
I like to look at all reports; especially where it might help in explaining his physical condition.

I would be interested to know whether or not this was true. An organization that well known knows better than to make off-the-cuff statements without backing it up with proof, but they do make mistakes. A lot of people are embarrased by physical ailments that would appear to make them weak or handicapped. A lot of people are in denial about diseases that can be easily maintained. Diabetes is a disease that can strike during any time of persons life & in varying degrees. I don't know much about it. One of my son's classmates is diabetic & on field trips we have to be very careful with him. All his classmates know he needs to be careful & remind him regularly if he's checked his sugar levels.

I am a diabetic and tho there are certain things one has to do......it's not as big a deal as some would have you believe. I do as I've always done, except for eating, exercise and taking some meds.
Ok my question is how much did we know 30+ years ago about Diabetetes we hardly knew anything in past 15 to 20 years we just started to find out how many people die from this every year. So what I'm saying is Elvis could have had it but never known. It wasn't talked about much back in 60s and 70s.
What I thought was funny Elvis would drink Pepsi which had tons of sugar back then in it. I know with me because the boil the cinnomon which makes my stoumch up-set.

Elvis had/has medical records like most people. The 60's and 70's wern't exactly the stoneage!
No I know that but I mean medication and etc is totally different than it was 30 years ago, techology too. Plus you didn't see almost every 15 minutes a ad to prevent diabetetes that's what I met by that. I know medical records can be viewed its called the "Mayflower Law or Act" can't remember whole name but something like that.
