There is suppose to be a BRAND NEW ALBUM released sometime before July 1st. The album will be called ``MOODY BLUE`` (and not ``UNCHAINED MELODY``) and some of the songs are; ``Moody Blue``, ``She Think I Still Care``, ``Pledging My Love``, ``It's Easy For You``, ``Let Me Be There``, ``If You Love Me, Let Me Know``, ``He'll Have To Go`` and finally the TWO I have been hoping for, are ``UNCHAINED MELODY`` AND ``LITTLE DARLIN'``. By the songa mentioned it should be a great album for Elvis. Thanks to the Colonel' Office for this news.

Please all of you fans who read stories about Elvis in newspapers and magazines DON'T beleive the stories because they ARE NOT TRUE..AS MOST OF US ALREADY KNEW.

And now news from Memphis...from Gary Peppers
Gary is an Elvis fan from way back and at one time he also ran a pretty good Elvis fan club from Memphis. Unfortunately, Gary is victim of Celebral Palsy and because of health reason he had to give up the fan club, though from time ti time I understand he sends out a ``Blue Sheet`` from Memphis on which he has many interesting things about his past experiences with Elvis. Gary's father was a long time employee at Graceland.
For some time now, Gary has been concentrating all of his efforts to trying to build a rehabilitation center for other Celebral Palsey victims and he has established the ``GARY PEPPER CELEBRAL PALSEY VICTIMS`` FUND. I heard about Gary just prior to sending out our last newsletter and made a few inquiries about him and his fund. It's all legetimate and at the time this newsletter is mailed, I have also mailed a check to Gary (in honor of Elvis) in the amount of $300.00. If you care to donate money to this worthy cause, feel free to do so. Any amount will help.

RCA released a 16 number one hits in England on May 6 with the following songs listed in it; JAILHOUSE ROCK/I GOT STUNG/A FOOL SUCH AS I/IT'S NOW OR NEVER/ARE YOU LONESOME TONIGHT?/WOODEN HEART/SURENDER/HIS LATEST FLAME/ROCK-A-HULA, BABY/GOOD LUCK CHARM/SHE'S NOT YOU/RETURN TO SENDER/DEVIL IN DISGUISE and CRYING IN THE CHAPEL. The early customers, who brought the records got a black and gold carrying case free. Rca's tactice to stimulate interest in PRESLEY back catalog started with the release of ``SUSPICION`` and ``MOODY BLUE`` and has obviously paid off among disk buyers so that dealer response for the reissue pack is described as ``amazing``.
European pre-release demend has also been unexpectedly high but there are no release plans for the USA and Canada where Presley is said to be regarded as a current attraction rather than back catalog.

From the Greensboro (Record)....``He came. He sang. He conquered. He always does. And Greensboro is no different.
Elvis, The King of Hearts and rock n' roll, captures almost 18,000 souls crammed into the coliseum Thursday night (April 21). His voice may have been weaker, but the sight and sound of the familiar 42 years old singer was enough to cast chains around adoring mothers, crying daughters, curious fathers and wistful grandparents.
Most of the Elvis lovers swear it is all worth it. Their souls were nourished and stirred. They say he is SEXY and has a voice out of this world. They feel they know him and he knows them. And a few of the older ones will admit he brings back their youth, at least for a while. LONG LIVE THE KING, they say.
Elvis was in fine voice, when he really tried to put his power behind the songs. His rendition of ``MY WAY`` was filled with emotion and came across loud and clear showing off that voice that has thrilled millions of record buyers for 20 years. Again in ``HOW GREAT THOU ART`` and in a few other serious songs, Presley's strong singing sounded as if he were pouring his whole being in it.
The chilla came, the MAGIC was in the air.

From the Ann Arbor NEWS...Crisler Arena became ``ELVIS PRESLEY ARENA`` for a while Sunday Night (April 24). The more then 14,000 persons who crowded into the carnervous confines to hear their hero sing ranged in ages from three to 73 and came from as far as Indiana to hear the KING of rock n' roll.

ELVIS PRESLEY doesn't have to sing. He could just stand up on the stage and move his hips a little or just look sexy. And his fans would go wild!
And they did, when he sang, moved or just stood there because ``the KING has arrived``.
He comes on grinning, like he just finished cutting another golden record, prances around the stage, nodding to his loyal subjects, inpecting his masses of workshippers. At 42, Presley, still cuts a stunning figure on the stage, despite the fact he has gained some weight through the years. His voice is now richer and fuller than it was when he cut his first golden record ``Heartbreak Hotel`` back in 1956. Elvis dazzled the audience with his gold-embraided white jump suit and his gold belt buckle.

Elvis 'Old Swivel Hips' showed he could still swivel with the best of them and dance around the stage while belting out such favorites as ``It's Now Or Never``, ``Don't Be Cruel``, ``Can't Help Falling In Love`` and ``Hound Dog``.

Very interesting to read. It's amazing it's been alomst 30 years since that originally came out. And to hear Elvis would have returned to Vegas in December! What a shock.....I always thought he'd end up changing venues to Lake Tahoe or something. I had alwayd heard he was getting tired of the Vegas shows towards the end.
