Well I like "this is our dance" quite a lot...I also like "Love song of the year".
I think these may be songs from Elvis which are a bit different from the others...but anyway Elvis did almost every song well and his voice made every song a good song!

I love Our Dance. I sway back and forth and sing with him. Sometimes, I grab my pillow and dance. It's just a fun song. Reminds me of my high school fantasy of him taking me to the prom. I like Love Song of the Year too.
Yes, I like the song. In fact, I enjoy the entire "Love Letters" album.
Same here, Jerry. I see why some people think it's a subpar album (it is, after all, a bunch of leftovers from a great session) but I for one rather enjoy it.
Some may call it "schmaltz" all they want, but personaly, having known a woman or two in my time, there's nothing wrong with a male singer singing a romanctic ballad - be it "Love Me Tender," "Loving You" "Young and Beautiful," "Are You Lonesome Tonight," "It Hurts Me," "Almost," "Just Pretend," - and yes, a waltz like "This is our Dance."
Elvis appreciated singers like Englbert Humperdink. It's a pity some fans think they are above it. It's not all about rough and tumble rockabilly. After all, his earliest sides were couched with ballads like "I Love You Because," etc.
It's one of my favorites! Love the song!!!
A great song, and equally great to dance to. And c'mon heart of Rome is up there with "Hurt" showing off Elvis' vocal ability

Do I like "This Is Our Dance"?? I'd have to say, "No".
Its a nice middle of the road song, and there are times when its nice to kick back and listen to this type song to relax. It is not what made Elvis famous in the beginning, its more Tony Bennett or Dean Martin. But Elvis is easily able to do it and do it well.

I like all three songs: This Is Our Dance, Heart of Rome and Love Song Of The Year. I find them a nice change from the rest of his songs and just as enjoyable in their way. He sang everything in such a special way......

I used to hate it when I was little but now I like it.
Along with SYLVIA, utter corny schmaltz would best describe these 2 songs to a tee, but I do enjoy them !!!

OMG King Creole, caught you in a sentimental moment! Hallelujah!Yes, your right about Sylvia being schmaltzy but it's a nice tune. Oh Judy is another that seems out of character.
