It would be nice to see Elvis's US Army years covered in a movie. GI Blues was ok but not often screened. story on the link.

It's amazing how many subjects generate Elvis related movies.
Maybe a movie just about Elvis's life in Tupelo would be a good idea too?
The new one with Jonathon Rhys Meyers kinda bombed, I think if you put a kid in playing Elvis in tupelo it's gonna do nothing but cost money.
It would never work, probably get a few watching it in Tupelo and Memphis, after that nothing.
Still, if you want to invest money I'll go see it! Don't think too many others would like to invest!
Such a film probably, almost without doubt, would turn out sub-standard. Next, the only real source would be Esposito, and I'm not sure they could string something interesting together from what he could relate.
"Elvis: The Army Years" ?? I cringe at the thought.
So, I wonder if they'll find a decent actor to portray him?
I don't care too much about the actors, as long as Elvis's voice is heard in the movie singing the songs.
Some liked Elvis-The Movie, it was quite a success. I didn't like it at all.
