We Need To Boycott EPE And RCA!!!!!

This has come far enough. We need to stand up as TRUE fans and boycott EPE and RCA and make these *****s realise that WE are the ones in control of what they do to make their money. Who the hell is EPE going to sell the cheap tacky merchandise to besides the fans? NOBODY!! So let's make a stand and stop it.

Same goes for RCA. Who is going to buy their countless compilations with the same weak sound as we had back on vinyl over and over again? The fans are. So let's stop it and boycott RCA by NOT BUYING ANOTHER RELEASE until they change their ways. Same with EPE. When we see a change then we will support again. Guys we CAN make a difference. Whether it's one voice or a thousand voices. Let's show EPE and RCA we mean business. If we don't do something then we become their slaves and EP becomes a thing of the past and a Mickey Mouse of music.

Is anyone with me on this?????

WE the Fans Had it With same old tricks by RCA and now With EPE, Few years ago The EPE and RCA close alot Elvis Web Site because they (Sites) had New
Remix Of ALC and Rubberneckin' before they released it, they made few sites change things no MP3 files on the sites or they will go to jail.
I can go on and on with this.

What I don't get everyone wants boycott or strike agaist EPE? Then why do you still buy the stuff? EPE is great and they have done a awesome job they must be doing something right after 30 years after his death and Elvis is still King of Rock-n-Roll?

I understand your frustration but your idea just wont work. You cant galvanize enough people to make a difference in their bottom line.Elvis already is the mickey mouse of music to an extent.People love buying the stuff. It's been that way for a long time going back to when Elvis was alive. It just seems worse now because it's all that's left since he's gone.EPE only has the image to make money from now.
BMG keeps rehashing the same stuff over and over again because it's the only thing that sells that good. With the exception of the MDQ cd last year I havent bought a mainstream release in ages. They also dont have anything left. He's been gone for 30 years and the well is dry.The leftovers are being put on FTD which only sell a few thousand. That's basically the only "new" stuff and the fans dont rush to buy them. Why dont more fans support FTD?Do most here buy every FTD?Did every fan on this board buy the Sullivan dvd's?I bet not.Sometimes I think Im a doomsayer but his music is already taking the backseat to his iconic, cartoonish image.I would rather have a nice full cd rack instead of a Elvis plate collection but most dont feel that way.

Amen JAK...if they did release everything they have right now what is there left to release in years to come? Some people forget you know they may have enough stuff to release maybe for 10 years. So why not space it out? And re-release things for younger kids out there.

Like me I'm 22 years old soon be 23 I never got see Ed Sullivan on TV and when this DVD set came out it was great! I hope the release maybe different shows too down the line. I wish today they have show like that in 2007.

I don't agree with everything EPE or RCA does, but then again I don't agree with what a lot of people do. I won't boycott them however as they do a fine job overall. Elvis was so diverse you can not please all his fans all the time.

You mention they need to change. Be specific as to what needs to change and what the results of that change should look like.

Why doesn't BMG officially release the shows that are out on bootleg albums? If they did then people wouldn't support that. Is there any hope for any of the lost recordings? Why doesn't BMG go through their vaults to find them so they can release them? It would make a lot more money, since that's what they are after. Thanks.

They do release them on the FTD label.Problem is that not many people buy them.Dont hold your breath waiting for "lost recordings".Something could turn up but it's unlikely.

Not everyone cannot afford buying FTD Albums at ?17 or ?20. Even tough they are better releases than RCA/ Sony/BMG. The greatests hits should be given a rest. The Elvishitstory was a flop. There own fault for releasing it as triple album when most fans already had first 2 CD's of this set.

    boycotting epe

it's pretty hard to boycott them especially if you visit GRACELAND everyyear, i sure don't buy the crap they sell like plates.key chains etc.. BUT I DO BUY THE DVD'S and it would be hard to resist , especially if your a completist, i do understand your point and anger, i sure hate some of the stunts they have pulled,[differn't packaging same stuff], but its a catch 22.

Them forcing Youtube to remove the footage that they have no royalty rights to was the last straw for me. That was crossing the line and I hope fans continue to post that footage back until EPE gives in. Why should we bow to them? They are nothing but weak fans make them into more than they are.

I buy every new commercial release of his DVDs (concerts movies etc) but I wouldn't buy them at Graceland. The same ones you can get at Best Buy for 14 dollars, Graceland sells for 30.

EP75, keep looking someone will put them back up, and someone is always selling the bootlegs. Nobody will ever stomp out bootlegs completly.

I have to agree with the compilation CD's you can guarantee that the same songs and the playlist will be the same over and over again. However RCA must be making money somewhere along the line otherwise they wouldn't bother!

FTD is the best material out there but even they are struggling due to the fact it is a niche market and only the hardcore fans will buy it.

I recently bought "Southern Nights" but it cost ?18.99 ($37.50) I love the album and it shows there was more in Elvis' repertoire, but hells bells it not cheap. I suppose if we want new material or shows we have to support Ernst and the guys otherwise this material will not see the light of day in this quality

Maybe if they cut down the price a little more fans would buy it. I remember buying "6363 Sunset" several years ago and was shocked at how much it was. I understand they (FTD) have to make money to put out what they do, but just make it a little more affordable.
