    "If"

I found a recording of "If". It's listed as from 1975. It sounds like Elvis, but it's not very good quality. I'm not sure if this is real or if someone did something goofy with splicing stuff. Does anybody have any information on this?

I've never seen or heard of it before...

My guess would be that it is the work of an impersonator?!?!

Got the same song (Elvis Presley - If (ultra rare! live in 1975)). Sounds very much like the real Elvis. At least the talking parts sound very much to be real. The singing I'm not quite sure about. Could be Douch Church or someone like him. Strangely enough the sound quality keeps changing during the song, very noticeable at the ending of the song. Looks like it's coming from different sources. The guitar in the beginning is only noticeable when you hear the high beeping tone, it changes when Elvis speaks and then the guitar sound also stops.
Does anybody know if it's a real Elvis song?

Got another song like this "Elvis Presley - Very rare (Live She now me)"
think the correct title should be: "Yes You Know Me" and the song probably isn't sung live on this recording.
It really has the Elvis sound and feeling, and it's complete with background singers. If you don't listen to the lyrics but just the sound it could have been an Elvis song. The singers voice is a little bit to light but you could blame it to that maybe the song isn't playing at the correct speed. With a little bit of pitch change it almost could have been Elvis in the late 70's. If you really listen to the lyrics (sometimes quite hard becouse of the poor sound quality) you soon discover that it's not by Elvis but ABOUT Elvis sung by problably an impersonator. Very nice tribute song. Altough even it sounds good, the Glory Glory part seems to be a bit out of place compared to the rest of the lyrics in my opinion.

Are these songs excisting songs and by who are they sung?

Hey Geert, thanks for the response! Now that you mention the song "Yes You Know Me" I think I know what's going on. I'm also a fan of "Orion" (aka Jimmy Ellis) and he recorded that song (as well with others) in tribute to Elvis. I know he sang the song "If" live, but I've never heard the recording. I've also heard Elvis introduction to the song, discussing the group Beard, but no song. I think someone spliced Elvis intro with Orion's recording, which explains the weird sound change in the end. Thanks!

That is I believe Jimmy Ellis "Orion" in 1974 he did one of his very first shows and by 1975 he was singin country and oldies but his last set would be Tribute To Elvis and he did have replica of Fringe Jumpsuit.
