If I could have attended one of them it would have been the Memphis show.

thanks for your replies
I think i'm leaning forward to the memphis show because elvis voice was stronger
While "Aloha" was a totally flawless performance and demonstrated Elvis is perfect voice, I prefer the relaxed, easy-going performance of 3/20/74 in Memphis. Elvis' voice was equally as strong in this 1974 performance.![]()

I prefer Aloha. It's not even close.
absolutely Memphis 1974

TOUGH QUESTION!!!![]()
Although I love the varied set list that Elvis performed for the ALOHA special, I think that the whole thing was a bit too "sanitized" for me...meaning that everything Elvis said/did in the show felt deliberate or rehearsed to me...definitely not the loose and easy-going style that can be heard in the Memphis '74 show!!
On the other hand, the Memphis '74 show seems a bit rushed to me at times, and although Elvis gives a great performance, it is the last show of the tour and he seems a bit tired in places and his voice seems a little weak in a couple of spots. Plus, I've never been a fan of the "express version" of AMERICAN TRILOGY.![]()
But, if I had to choose one of these shows, I guess I would give the slight edge to the Memphis '74 show simply because he seems much more relaxed and at ease throughout the show, which is one of the things that made his concerts so exciting!!![]()

Memphis '74 for me !!
"How do I get placed in situations like this? Ah hell, I guess it's all part of showbusiness "~ Elvis in his limo on his way to perform in Omaha, NE on June 19th 1977
I very like the rock n roll medley from memphis and How great thou art
Definitely Memphis '74. Elvis voice was much better, he was far more relaxed and the repertoire was much better. Even songs like "Steamroller Blues" where better performed than a year earlier. It would be great, if they had filmed Memphis. I guess it would be a real highlight to see Elvis sing "Trying To Get To You" or "My Baby Left Me". Or simply seeing him perform his grammy winning version of "How Great Thou Art". But unfortunately it is just a dream. So I must go to Hawaii.*

*because Elvis once sang "...dreams come true in Blue Hawaii".
Hawaii was impressive, because he was on a global stage, and looked good for the cameras. In Memphis, he seemed more relaxed and gave a great performance, song wise and voice wise. I like his voice in Memphis better, but the iconic image of him in Jan 73 is hard to match for that period of his career.
The Memphis Concert gets my vote,i love Aloha but you hear more of Elvis as a person in the Memphis concert.x
Elvis-Memories,Sweet Memories-Elvis
Before I can fully make a choice on this, I have a question.....is the Memphis performance we are talking about the one that was released as a live album in 1974 with Graceland on the front cover? I absolutely loved Aloha From Hawaii, but this recorded performance in Memphis was outstanding. "Why Me Lord" was one of my favorites from that album.
if I have to choose I'd go for memphis 74 , Elvis is more relaxed ; But I love aloha as well!![]()
and I love you so..people ask me how..how I've lived 'till now
Ok, now that I know what show we are talking about, I think I'd have to pick Aloha. It was simply Elvis at his peak, a totally stunning performance. He was relaxed during the Memphis show, but I attribute that more to his not having to worry about being perfect in front of cameras filming for a tv audience. It has been a long time since I have heard the Memphis performance though.....I wish I still had that CD.
