If you had a crowd of about 50 people and wanted to show them why you though elvis was the best performer ever, what 5 live performances would you show them?
Mine would be:
-Hound Dog-Berle 56'
-Stuck on you- Sanatra 60'
-Trying to get to you- 1st sit down show-68'
-Polk Salad Annie- Aug 11,70 -outtake
- American Troligy- Aloha 73'
It's really hard to choose just 5 performances...:doh: anyway...I can try:
1- Ready Teddy - Ed Sullivan Show
2- If I Can Dream ('68 Comeback Special)
4- Suspicious Minds (TWWII)
3- An American Trilogy (Aloha)
5- My Way (CBS 77)
I would pick;

Suspicious Minds - TTWIISE

2- If I can dream - Saved or If you're looking for trouble ('68 Comeback Special)
4- Suspicious minds - Mystery train/Tiger man (TWWII)
3- An American trilogy - How great Thou art (Aloha)
5- My way - Unchained melody (CBS 77)
It's difficult thou, because there were many strong songs in all thse concerts.
I was also thinking about the shows with Milton Berle. They were often funny too.

my way 77' is not that good, aloha is much better
Can't agree with that. My Way '77 is a much more emotionally-charged performance
