from the man that made his suits

It's been my experience that whenever I am measured it can vary 1/2 to 1inches. Depending on how straight I'm standing, also allowing for slight differances in the way the equipment is used, what is used etc. I think the army and his clothes maker are probably the most accurate you're going to get.
the interview is with Bill Belew he give Elvis' measurements in the interview. Though i do wonder about his shoe size. I take a mans size 8 shoe most times and I would have thought Elvis' shoe size was much larger than mine. But I guess that can vary depending on brand of shoes etc.
oh i found this to

To me i don't care if he was 5'10 or 6' he was Elvis and it's Elvis that I adore not how tall he is or isn't
Oh! Gosh! You're good! I do not know anything about it. Julie .....
No matter what size shoe he had Elvis, I will always love him.
You too!
his army records i believe say he wore an 11d shoe
I remember a tv news interview, around the time Radio City had the first Elvis Concert, and the reporter was told that his army boots, were a size 12 and his regular boots were a size 11. The reporter had an actual pair of Elvis' boots in front of her. The length of the boots were definitely longer than the size 10 I wore at the time. The style of the shoe is also a factor. I wear a size 11 hushpuppies but wear a size 9 1/2 Aldens.
He was quite tall. 6 feet and a half as he stated himself on Desert Storm. That's 185 in centimetres.
Elvis was 5'11 barefoot and 6' with shoes on.With his lifts in the 70's he was around 6'1 1/2.Early documents filled out by Elvis himself said 5'11.I guess he got tired of saying that so he just rounded it up to 6'0.His height with shoes on.
UK EUR U.S. Length feet (cm)
8 42 9 26,8
My son wear 42 - not as tall as Elvis.
So..I think that Elvis could have more than 9.:hmm:
I wear EUR 35.5 U.S. 5.
It is really childish size lol

I posted this before but here it is again:
There is a big debate at Celebheights.com concerning Elvis's height. According to some the Army records show Elvis 6'.05" in his bare feet at induction and the Army figures down to the nearest inch. Evidently celebheights.com had Elvis at 6'0" then downgraded him to 5'11" and 3/4. Many people were mad complaining the Armys induction figures should be the deciding factor since they had nothing to gain by inflating his height. Someone there has ordered a copy of his induction papers thru the freedom of information act and is waiting for them. (1/4 inch Controversy ha ha)
I don't know it's seems no one can give a definitive answer on something as simple as how tall Elvis was.
I remember Colin Powell who is 6'2 saying he met Elvis in the army and he mentioned he was suprised at how short he was.
Even though if Elvis was 5'11 that's above average.
I remember Steve Martin saying he met Elvis in Vegas and mentioning that he was a big guy around 6'2.
Some say he was a shade over 6'0.
I recall hearing that on Elvis' drivers liscence it was listed at 5'11 but on his army records he was 6'0.
I say Elvis was 6'0 because Richard Nixon was supposedly 5'11 and if you look real close Elvis is a shade taller than him in the picture.
