I'm getting it it looks good, but I try to buy all the FTD's cds.
I'm a bit dissapointed with Made In Memphis. At first, I loved it. But now, the album doesn't appeal to me anymore
Well,
I feel that this is one great album!
Cool 1973 tracks, much better sound, and very nice 1976 tracks.
A real treat if you ask me....
Sonny
I agree Sonny, I would suggest getting it for sure.
Me too...
I can't wait to hear the tracks, especially the home recordings from Sam thompsons house in 1973 (y)
The home recordings from Sam's house have been available for a while. There interesting, Ode to a Robin is quite good
Yes, i know that they have been available for a long time, but i haven't hear them before, so for me it's very interesting stuff (y)
Elvis' little poem is really good. When I first heard it, I fell on the floor laughing. Elvis should have told it on stage! Just picture him sitting on a chair with his guitar, alone in a single spotlight (similar to his guitar-sessions in Vegas in 1976, when he performed Softly, As I Leave You) and telling the audience that poem. I think, it would have been a good comedy-number.
the only Follow That Dream cds that are worth buying are the Classic Albums which contain all available takes, made in memphis takes will be included on these classic albums soon (y) so i wouldnt waste your money
Agreed...
The private recordings are nice to hear if you haven't already.
This CD however to me is worth the money just for those 1973 and 1976 tracks. Listened again today and they are awesome...
Listen to those backing vocals and guitars on the 1973 tracks!
Just great!
Sonny
made in memphis is an essential ftd purchase with great sound, the standouts for me are if you you dont come back find out whats happening, three corn patches its midnight with the guitar to the fore a great bluesy take of she thinks i still care, bitter they are the harder they fall and the sam thompson home recordings a superb release:cool:
