in the ghetto/reggae
Hi
This is my first ever post on here im more of a browser
some time ago i remember reading about a reggae version of in the ghetto and the way i remember it is that it was a re-mix using Elvis's vocal track, at the time i could.nt see how this would work but just last week i came across ALL SHOOK UP a reggae tribute to the king and track 14 is in the ghetto by susan cadogan and having heard this i think if the Elvis version did exist it would be awsome.
I'm not a reggae fan by any means but this album is great all Elvis's songs given the reggae treatment (can't beat the origional but makes a nice change)
I would be greatful if anyone can shed any light on wether an Elvis version exists or not.

Well I do like reggae, the old 60's stuff, I wonder what does Elvis think about that style, Ive always feel that Ive Got a Thing About you Baby got somekind of a reggae organ sound at the into, but that also had to do with the fact that the Stax 60's sound was a big influence in the development of the early days of reggae.
That reggae tribute, havent hear it but I think is a must, a very diferent kind of tribute, got nothing to do with the usual EPE brings up a Country music one hit wonder artist meets Scotty Moor and DJ Fontana, or the lousy 60's legends have beens meet McCartney to play some Elvis stuff usual thing.
