I don't know if they hate each other, because there isn't much information about Elvis and Cash...but I think they were friends.
I think they were 'mutual' friends. I have the Elvis and Johnny road show which is good..tells about each ones story.
Thanks for the stories and the pictures, I had forgotten about this thread! I couldn't get any links for videos though. I don't think they loaded up right. Anyway thanks again for reviving my thread! Love those Sun guys!
Well let me give u the links to the videos
1st one: The 1986 Tv Special "The Class of '55: the Rock N' Roll HomeComing": Elvis Tribute "We Remember The King" :

Glad I could help :D
Johnny never said anything derogatory about Elvis, although he did have a vision on music - that Elvis was overproduced and Johnny would have loved to hear Elvis play the guitar with some simple songs. All in all, Johnny has praised Elvis!
Oh yeah i forgot, i read/heard that Johnny (at his concert) introduced Carl Perkins (were great friends) and said "Here is the guy that deserves the credit for Blue Suede Shows" and i heard Elvis got upset and ent out the room.
And so on one of Elvis' concerts Elvis says (before a song on TTWII) I have a new song coming out, i can't play it no more man, johnny cash can't play and he fakes it".
