This is a tough one! I (like probably everyone else here) love so much that he recorded.
Concert wise, I've always had a soft spot for the 'Alternate Aloha'. It definitely contains my favorite version of Steamroller Blues. I love watching the DVD of the show. The dramatic build up of '2001', on comes the spotlight, & then he appears....need I say more!
I look forward to an upgrade of the CD release of this show one day. Like most people, I'm counting the seconds for the new DVD release. (y)
I also like listening to the 'Boulevard' & 'Jungle Room sessions' CD's. Living in the UK, & the sad fact that he never toured here, the nod Elvis gives us this side of the Atlantic, in the form of Danny Boy & The Last Farewell, makes these albums special for me. 'Danny Boy' is just beautiful, & hearing The King sing about the 'English mist rolling through the dale' in 'The Last Farewell' is pure magic. :)
Well those three sure are high on my list as well!Quote:
